My New Red Socks

My New Red Socks

It's that case of "I got something I didn't want for Christmas" situation! Merry Christmas.

My New Red Socks

By Mandy

I promised I wouldn't complain,

or mumble & grumble in shame.

But who could blame?

With knitted red socks.

Aunt Ruth got me socks for Christmas.

Mom makes me wear 'em.

Even to school & the mall!

They make me look embarassing.

Tomas, Nicky, & even poor Stu

point & laugh at me and say "P-U".

My good friend Paul ignores me all day,

in a very stern & serious way.

Even my teacher looks at me for awhile

trying to hold it, she begins to smile.

Then this girl I have a crush on named Bridget

just stares at me like I'm an idgeot.

So I wrote a letter to Aunt Ruth,

and here is what it said:

"Dear Aunt Ruth, I like your socks,

but please don't send 'em next year, if you not."

On Christmas next year, I didn't get any socks.

But there was one present I hadn't open.

It was from Aunt Ruth, but the wern't red socks!

They were green socks.

The End
