The Neglected

The Neglected

A Poem by Mamta Vashisht

Unwanted undesirable unloved.
There I sit in a corner,
Like a needless mourner.
Looking around in void,
Thinking of myself being devoid
Of beauty charm and pride,
Swinging high on full tide.
Desired I which scorned me,
Everyone then would taunt me.
How silly i was, to dream
Of a prince and a king,
I, a unwanted undesirable unloved.
