The Day of Qing Ming

The Day of Qing Ming

A Poem by lucia
"

Inspired by the Chinese poet Du Mu, this poem is about the Tomb Sweeping or Spring Festival. Still under construction.

"

The early lights welcome Qing Ming

Ma kindles a stovethe child wakes

A plumaged cloud, laden with spring

Joins their slow ascent to the graves

The red and white prayer eggs and kites

Rivet a road of weeping brooms

Rain-winds bring the promise of wine

To the father sweeping the tombs
