Wahahaha! I pine away

In my poetré

And use every descriptive

Cliché

I fetter words like

Beautiful slaves

To my simplistic way

Of thinking

And name them things

Like ‘Midnight’ and ‘First Kiss’

And “Sunrise”

And “Sunset” and “Pain”

I have ridden the limerick

I’ve bellowed a verse

And submitted to Writerscafe

Something I’d gurgled

And literally spat out

Then begged for your honest opinion
