Into the Wind

Into the Wind

A Poem by Koibito "Nickie" Kitsuya
"

A poem about a person who loves someone they will never have.

"
I blew a kiss into the wind for you
I wanted to say I love you
But I didn't for I was afraid of your reaction

Well I am going to make a stand and say,
I love you
The world cannot amount to the love I have for you
My love is deeper than the ocean
And wider than the heavens.
My heart mourns for you
For your love in return

I'm not afraid to admit it to you now
For I will not be rejected or critizied
I always avoided your eyes
For you would be able to read my secret
I never wanted to keep secrets from you
But I know you are not mine to keep
So here it is, my love and all
It's yours now to do what you please
I only want to say one more thing

The last day we met
I allowed a tear to fall
I said I love you into the wind
And I hope you heard it

Because it's true
I love you

The poignancy in this write found its way into my heart, Nickie. Too often we are afraid to express feelings. Perhaps they won't be returned. Perhaps we will be shunned. To be able to be honest is to find inner peace. I hope writing this poem helped you achieve that. A beautifully written poem. Lydi**

Excellent pen, dipped in lover's want and wrote what is she had to say. Just a feeling that the wind would be carrying the words to a married man. Just me thinking, does not change the beauty of what you've written or love's pure wanting. Tom
