The Witness

The Witness

A Poem by Málum
"

A view from the outside

"
I am the witness
Through the lens it is distorting
And the all colour fades to shade
I do what I can to bare this

I have seen the forest give way to field
As a witness I cannot stop it
When life yields to the pressure
We have a place to build our safety

Brick by brick we will undo this place
No remorse for the evil we sow
Two fingers high in the face of the mother
No statement, cure, or case

Until the day we can witness the wonders
When we understand that we destroy from within
Until the shade gives way to colour
In the darkness we will sow our sin
