Inspired By a Poet

Inspired By a Poet

A Poem by Mallory Jen

Softly touching,
engaging my senses to react
I am whisked into the moment
as I glance across this page of black
I am forced to imagine
this frail scene of hope

Dripped from a familiar pen

Cascades of mature thinking

I soak in all that I view

from this fellow giver,

a fellow who is worth taking

his words prick my soul

Tracing back through memories

his rhymed emotions amuse me

so riveting, so silent

a tear traces my cheek

how could you have known?

For you tell my story

Just 1 question. Is this line suppposed to be scene or seen? "this frail seen of hope"

Other than that, I liked it. I am assuming that you are speaking of photographs. That is the picture that you painted in my head.

muse to muse

you wear your heart on your skin like so many poets before you

keep mining the vein of intimacy ... show your tender heart through your art... it's your gift...

a reaction a vision...well written

you have a way of allowing things to flow out
impressions and the like...

after visiting your myspace i realize i have been feeling a spoken ...or singing voice in your work...it helped me hear you better knowing that...

nice work
