So It Seems So FewA Poem by Mallory Jen
So it seems so few
I’ve painted your picture in the glass
Enjoy the colors of sweet release and
Play the critic,
that’s just what I need
All those around you,
You rule what they see
And it’s enough to just make you run from
Everything that comes clear to you
Fight to fold the hand or load the gun
Solutions so it seems so few
I know all you care to hear
Isn’t apologies from me
oh I know everything you’d say if I cared to listen
But your tears are just accused
Of emotion or need for pity
You know that’s what I’d love to give to you
As you sit though so pretty,
It doesn’t seem the thing to do
And I know
It’s enough to just make you run from
Everything that comes clear to you
Fight to fold the hand or load the gun
Solutions so it seems so few
For me and for you
While I was away you fed your lies
Taught your daughter to slowly die
Forsaking your gift and your purity
Just to make a fool of me
Well I know
It’s enough to just make you run from
Everything that comes clear to you
Fight to fold the hand or load the gun
Solutions so it seems so few
For me and for you
