Visionquest

Visionquest

A Poem by MalkavianDelirium
"

Can we trust our eyes? Can we truly believe our dreams?

"

I saw gods in my troubled dreams,
visions of some higher plain.
I felt the touch of hands divine,
fled deep within my heart to hide.

I found demons in my hollow self,
morbid beings of human wants.
And saw splintered pictures of myself,
in facets of their dark countenance.

I unlocked the sins of my slumber,
confronted phantons of my bitter past.
I watched the sun set on me as I wept,
alone, without a single hope.

You've always been one of the best writers I've known. There's a flow to the way you write things and this piece is no different. It's written extremely well, in my opinion. I found myself with images in my head, a little movie in my head as I read through the lines. Very interesting and very unique my dear. For some reason wolves ran through my head, like werewolves, but I'm not sure why. I also can feel the torment behind the words. Some of us are just more in tune with being able to express our problems with a beauty and elegance. Very good hon. Keep up the good work.
