Timeless Dance

Timeless Dance

A Poem by MalkavianDelirium
"

What is the march of fate but a timeless dance? What is love but the tune we move to? Dark musings on love seem to be something of a recurring theme with me

"

I tend to ramble, rant,
reflect, refrain.
This time of night,
the dark draws in,
the cold comes down,
we sing and weep,
and how we dance.

I wish to wither,
whisper, wilt,
holding you in twilight,
the world falls about us,
all silks and subterfuge.
Do we drown in the flood?
Or rise towards new light?

We seem to struggle,
slip, succumb.
Seduced by what seems,
to be about us,
all encompassed,
all enthralling,
we bend knee,
reality's court cavorts.

We dance.
My love, we dance.

Wow that seemed so real. I could practically see two people dancing under the blue silver moonlight. I don't know how your poem managed to create such a picture in my head but well done. You words were carefully chosen and very well placed.
The last two lines, though simple, give such a strong impact.
We dance.
My love, we dance.

Great work =]
