Apple treeA Poem by Malia
Fingernails covered in dirt from the moss green tangles against the bark hold residue on his fingers
Pulsing fingers touched by fire ignited in her Only those fingers were laced with poison Traces of lost love seeps out from his hand dissecting her skin where her chest lays His teeth pour honey close to her sunbathed face He grabs her skin with needles of ice She grasp for air as he reaches out to crush her beating red apple Her face emulsified with betrayal Her lifeless body leaves this earth with a quiet collapse on the ground, she is dead © 2018 Malia |
