IllusionA Poem by TwizzlerIts the pain inside that never leaves Words that cut...all alone she grieves She misses his face and all that they had... An illusion that plagues as soft as is sad A summer of brandy, cognac and tears As the memories blur and fade from their good years Time doesn't heal and some things never change We still love thru the pain cuz feelings are strange He told her she was just a leech and she made him miserable It sank deep and became buried with the rest so life would be livable She grew colder with the days and let the loneliness fall around her like a blanket Finding comfort where she could while still holding on feeling anxious The days were long though the nights were longer How much BS before you start to feel stronger? With every lie he told and secret he kept just sealed it further If she ran far enough he could no longer hurt her.
