Healing Herself

Healing Herself

A Poem by Rachel

I wake up a lot earlier now.
I wanted to be a morning person
Before, but never got myself up to it.
I shower daily now. No longer forcing myself
To get in.
I miss you less and less.
I’ll stop looking at my ring finger one day.

I may not be able to erase the past.
But I can heal from it.
It’s going to take time.
But it’ll start becoming easier.
