Melancholy Eyes

Behind those melancholy eyes holds a sweet ethereal girl who wants nothing more but to find happiness and beauty in everything. It has taken a toll on her, but she remains standing

Dazed in melancholy trance.
The day fades to night as she falls into slumber.
A new one awaits for her to awake.
She takes hold of the new day with a small smile upon her face.
Stretching her arms out reaching for the sky.
She remembers there's beauty everywhere even behind those melancholy eyes.
Smile plastered on her face as she's about to face a new day.
The sun glistening through her window upon her face. The universe holds so much beauty.
She is ready to face the new day, eager to learn from the universe.

There is a sad reality here mingled with hope. The blues often fill the spaces where we yearn; the in between places that hold uncertainty no matter how optimistic we may be. I enjoyed the read.
