FearA Poem by Malen
She's a viper of souls
A long slim black-hearted disaster Feeling her way underneath Tasting the very breath released Flicking her licking to liking A heart throbbing disliking. Slithering onto skin She breeds religion Taking her piece Her dark eyes perceive Deeper than belief. Coiled around the vitals of life Disguised between lies Her hisses sooth where none can feel Ever, so ever, becoming real. Her gentle grip conveniences sin Requesting holy communion Promising a paradise garden A product of the only begotten. Her venomous presence cohorts With everything you enjoy Until you can no longer see She has thrust her fangs in peace. "God has risen" she'll confess While bending to address. Revelation her representation Teasing belief a Christ will save them. Demented from divine Obsessed with song and rhyme Gospel filling minds, Her sermons remind. Religion of fools in delight As they seek godly light A byproduct of her poison They all hope to rejoice in. Religion! O religion! The seeds you have grown For the viper to dwell overblown A holy kingdom, dethroned By her work alone God never laid rest to his best Forgiving even his darkest child For he is the master of all Even mankind's greatest fall. © 2015 Malen |
