Birth

Birth

A Poem by Malen

Wind blown rain kisses awaken thought
Sharply nibbling at her heart.
Ripe soil stirs rousing particles ascent
Greeting her nose with earths scent.

Awake could never feel like this.
Dreamily caught up in its mist.
In places told not to visit
Soaked midst the wet night
A wild heart awoke from fright.

Gripping soggy wood
Her fingers feel it's breath
As if it was her own flesh
Caressing her to reflect.

Wet cloth sticking around her warmth
Unconcerned with frame or form
Her body exposing freedom in delight
Unseen in this cool night.

Dancing under moonlight sounds
Her earthen soul dampens now.
Steam rising from her skin
A spirit now stirred within.

One more spin around
falling toward the ground
Her body covered in its birth
Dirty they call this earth.
