Finding HumanA Poem by Malen
Wooden beams holding history
Aged far beyond me What a wonder to wander in nature A musk that stirs ones soul Paired with the scent of mold That this cold air breathes Dances to my nose Walking with bare feet Toes curl holding tight A place we rarely come From where life is sprung A world that once was free Now a servant to humanity What once was a home Now many roam alone Missing the connection That once felt like a heaven Dirt under nail A face clear and raw The sun begins the curtain call © 2015 MalenReviews
