Body

Body

A Poem by Malarkey

My body,

Your body,

Sculpted from the atoms,

Of my un-remembered dreams.

You,

Behind the dusk blue shadow of your eyes,

You,

Dissolved by dream,

And the heaven-hued hymn of sleep,

Where the world ripples and coils,

Within your scented heats.

My body,

Your body,

Beneath my fingertips,

Your skin,

So charged to the touch,

I, shattered turn to dust,

Imbedding in you,

The sting of my wounds,

The ghost of my love,

Cold and wet against your tongue.

The beast which burns inside my breast,

Pressed against your flesh,

I am alive,

For one moment I am blind and born,

In my body,

Your body.
