Waiting, Hoping, Broken

Waiting, Hoping, Broken

A Poem by Meowllory
"

-Written in my youth about power struggles within a relationship.

"

Have you ever felt broken?

Ruined, like one thing said destroyed you

How simple it was

And they never feel grief, it is not their fault

Never their fault

You’re just too emotional

Too weak

They have you wrapped around their finger, and they know it

They can control you with a few simple words

And you just fall apart in front of them

You never speak your opinions

Afraid they will leave

And never come back

So you sit there in the dark, unknowing

You just want one thing, but they wont give it to you

If they do, you will have gotten what you wanted

Gotten a play in their game

Gotten something that makes you warm, safe, secure

But that would mean they lost some power

Some leverage

No, they will never give you that one thing

Acceptance or

Approval, or

Love

So you sit there in your own little world

Waiting, hoping, broken.
