The Unexpected SaviorA Poem by MeowlloryWritten in my youth.
Our mountain tips, So towering and colossal But the sky is angry Punishing us with a blizzard storm The wind waving violently Trying to snare our attentions The bite of frigid, freezing winds Shivering as they chew our skin raw Charging through our villages Destroying our homes and households When during our panicked pandemonium All became tranquil We searched through the rubble Ice covered clothes and treasures Blown here be the traveling winds Seeing a frost-covered baby doll Thinking of her previous possessor We looked towards the star-scattered sky Unknown to all who saved us But thankful of our unexpected savior As we anticipate whom ours is We miss the stars, so very bright Winking down to us © 2011 MeowlloryAuthor's Note
