Perfect ParadiseA Poem by MeowlloryThe perfect place to be. Written in my youth.
The lush flow of water Rippling daintily over the rocks below Mist showering my face Like kisses from a young love I lounge by the lake bank Greeting the waves like an old friend I take in the angelic sounds Of the song birds’ alluring voice While the wind tickles my neck Like a lover’s breathe The rustle of dry dead leaves As to calm me The pitter-patter of humble forest critters Scurrying to their homes I see a willow in the distance Waving madly as to warn Laying lazily in the plush grass My sun-kissed skin splayed across the pillow soft earth Looking up to the heavens Making friends with the snow-white clouds Breathing in deeply the fresh, clean air My head resting on the warm grass Hugging me like a warm embrace I start falling under a light slumber With sounds of trickling waters Pampering my ears Images of my perfect paradise inhabiting my dreams © 2011 MeowlloryAuthor's Note
