These Words, They Break MeA Poem by MakeshiftRoseThese words, So hurtful in their
entirety, I do nothing to you, Yet you feel you must hurt
me With "facts" and
"opinions" Of the people. I shouldn't care what
"the people" think. I don't. But I do. Your words tear me apart
inside, As if they were a knife
mutilating my skin, The armor I had built around
myself To protect from all the
hurtful words. Voices invade my mind. They rip apart my spirit. Outside, I am fine. But inside, I am nothing. Broken. © 2013 MakeshiftRoseReviews
