Why do we fear me?A Poem by AscendingLook at me! I notice our skin rippled As I threw a rock across it Look at me! Why do we fear me? Is it the glass in my voice Or the faults in my skin? Is it the way I gaze Or the way I smile? Look at me! I see you hunting me As I spy on you Why do we fear me? Is it the sky-colored skin Or the venom of my tongue? Look at me!What am I sensing? You.. Me.. We see the blood in my eyes We hear the gravel in my throat We taste the salt-filled rivers flowing We feel nothing We touch the glass Look at me!
