Why do we fear me?

Why do we fear me?

A Poem by Ascending

Look at me!
I notice our skin rippled
As I threw a rock across it
Look at me!
Why do we fear me?
Is i
t the glass in my voice
Or the faults in my skin?
Is it the way I gaze
Or the way I smile?
Look at me!
I see you hunting me
As I spy on you
Why do we fear me?
Is it the sky-colored skin
Or the venom of my tongue?
Look at me!What am I sensing?
You..
Me..
We see the blood in my eyes
We hear the gravel in my throat
We taste the salt-filled rivers flowing
We feel nothing
We touch the glass
Look at me!
Why do we fear me?

Simply, but yet so beautiful! Well done!

I like this poem. People raised in glass houses fear what they do not understand. People are the same. But if you want to see nothing. That is your vision and they will know only fear and confusion. Great emotion and description in this outstanding poem. You need to get published. You are a amazing writer.
