Thoughts of a Trouble Mind

Thoughts of a Trouble Mind

A Poem by Ascending
"

A poem of life

"
Once upon a time, I was perfect
I was life itself
Blissfully barbed by false hopes and aspirations
Thinking I was untouchable, unstoppable and untamed
Immortal
Idiotically, skating across a golden-paved road
I guess true ignorance is bliss

Once upon a time, I was aware
I saw pain, manifested
Theatrically traumatized through the horror of tears and death
Unable to understand the uncertainties and instabilities
Confused
Idiotically, accepting  pyrite as gold
I guess I was trying to cope

Once upon a times, I was done
I was through with life, itself

Purposely perceiving pain and pleasure by life's course
Feeling as if I was vulnerable, finite and trapped
Destiny
Knowingly, I understood there is no escape
I guess life ran its course

The only real problem with Once Upon a Time. Is not seeing before or after the time.
