Tides of Twilight - Chapter 19#2: A

"

Taly hasn't taken her eyes off the Catalyst. I wonder why?

"

You approach Taly, who was standing at one of the windows that overlooked the airship's deck. She was looking through the glass at the idle Catalyst, who stood watch without moving an inch.

You: What's up, Taly?

Taly: Aren't you curious?

You: Hm? About what?

Taly: If full control of that body currently belongs to the darkness, where does Steffan's mind linger?

You: Good point. I never thought about that... I would assume he's in some kind of unconscious state?

Taly: I am not sure. The Catalyst spoke of Steffan's own will towards General Grau, unable to act on Claire's order despite that seal.

You: Yeah, that was weird. I mean, what does the Catalyst care about its "puppet's" will?

Taly: Perhaps time will tell. Until then, I believe we can see for ourselves wherein Steffan lies...

You: What? Hold on, you mean... We can use the Twil'Eye on him?

Taly: Yes.

You: I don't know... What if we see something we don't want to?

Taly: The choice is yours. I'm going to look either way.

You: Hm.

What will you do?
