Animals

These animals I call my friends,
They all have one within them
Waiting to be let out,
To be released.

A penguin, a tiger,
A wolf, a dragon,
A panda, a cat,
A dolphin and a lion.

All of my friends,
Whom I refer to as animals,
They lie in wait,
To be reactivated.

A lynx, a panther,
A bird, a snake,
A dog, a rat,
A ferret and a hamster.

All of these wild beings,
I call my friends,
They wait with age old patience,
To be free once more.

A mouse, a moose,
A doe, a deer,
A penguin, a polar bear,
A lark and a dodo.

Be free, my loves,
To do as you please.
Be free, my friends,
To live your lives.
Be free, my animals,
To be who you wish to be.
