Emotions

Emotions

A Poem by Rose Tyler
"

Watching my friend play Sims 3 and I get the urge to write... This is the result!

"

Envy and Hate stem from the seed,

As do Anger and Greed.

Anxiety and Fear follows next,

Along with Restlessnes which makes everything more complex.

Happyness and Freedom always enjoyed,

Rarely are they destroyed.

All of these emotions I fear,

Yet I long to hold them all near.

I wish to know great  joys and sadness,

And my one wish? To also know Madness.

Insanity and being Sane are one the same,

Both can cause Pride and Shame.

Bordome and Excitment,

Both give goals needed incitement.

Optimism and Trust,

Never do they lead to Lust.

Anticipation and Awe,

Never without a flaw.

Loathing and Rage,

Always leave a book with a torn page.

Ecstacy and Surprise,

Not always together are they Wise.

Annoyance and Disapproval,

Never leave one fruitfal.

Remorse and Comtempt,

Leaves the tidy unkempt.

Rage and Greif,

What ensues? Disbalief.

These are my words and thoughts on our humane ways,

May these words from my mind never leave your gaze.

There's definitely a fine line between Sane & Insanity,
at least that's what I think.

I've never seen Sims so cannot review based off of
experience. However, I like all the concepts you've
shared here. One little type (Grief) after Rage.

I enjoyed the read of comparisons.

I like this poem. What a detailed examination of emotions and the results of their actions. Even explores when they are coupled with other emotions too! It's a very unique poem. Great job!

I like it. You have some good internal rhymes in it that flow off the tongue easily and a good rhythm. It could probably use a little fine tuning though.

I do like it, the only two things that tripped me up on the flow was in the second lines you put "....which makes everything more complex." it might flow easier to just have it say which makes things more complex. and in the fourth group where you put "....yet i long to hold them all near." since you'd already put the word i in the previous lineyou could have gotten away with simply putting yet long to hold them all near.

But all in all another excellent read :D

I like this poem. It captures all the emotions perfectly. And I like how the rhyming doesn't seem forced. It flows naturally. Great job!

lol Never thought the Sims 3 could inspire such an interesting write.

"Insanity and being Sane are one the same,

Both can cause Pride and Shame."

Good stuff!

Good job :)
This is one of my favorites,
you spoke the truth about each emotion,
and I find myself related to it. Nicely done ^^
