THE WORLD

THE WORLD

A Poem by Mai Aliza

Some say the world is priceless
But I could buy it for a nickel or two
Because the world is so very cheap
Once its lost all its virtues
And what a poor defenseless world
Desolated by what men require
For a man's mind is useless
When thinking upon his desires
The world was once milk and honey
But it is now bloodshed and tears
It was once adventurously courageous
And is now full of fears
Can't man see the infliction
And suffering he has caused?
Can't man see the care
And the love that the world has lost?
The guilt of man shall grow
May he find salvation from it
For the world struggles to contain
The sin that it omits

A really good poem with so much truth in it. There is so much selfishness and greed in the world today its pathetic. You did a great job on this. 100/100
