A Guy Like HimA Poem by Karishma MagvaniYou drink your coffee black as you
stand in your kitchen swallowed whole by the ever recurring pale blue shirt I knew you never had any intention of fitting into. Your lips part & make room for a smile as an ever so religious “good morning” cracks through your sleepy 6 a.m. voice. You’d never known how much your tastes mimicked you. Black coffee; a substance you viewed just as I had, you. Addicting, strong… and impossible to sleep after. © 2015 Karishma Magvani |
