Tug-of-war

Tug-of-war

A Poem by ANNA

You’ve taken my heart and turned it on high

Loving it like a child loves Disneyland rides

It comes so naturally when we drive hand in hand

You bring me to sarcoma to our precise moments

Only you have the energy to wait for me to come back

Look into my eyes and turn them into a confidence color

A breath of fresh air surrounds my deepest burning desires

Falling out and fighting this tug-of-war has saved our love

Voices from others rap in our ears but we know what's true

Why we couldn't wrestle with our heart to just let go

You’ve twisted my untamable soul and unwrapped it in the palm of your faith

Pieced back my fragile glass heart like the movie “beauty and the beast

Loving you is all I ever want to do; nothing else is worth the risk

This sounds sweet, sensual, and kind of erotic in a way...

I like it!
