Beauty is Arrogance

Beauty is Arrogance

A Poem by ANNA

Beauty props it arrogance against the wall

Jealousy stumbled backwards into a frown

Reaches down to peel it off with a glum look

However, if this beauty had a heart instead of a whispering eye

It would have master the art of love and not lustful men

A piece of work in the palm of it hands

Instead beauty turns its condescending lashes into a performing act

Smiles at jealousy in between a dreamers fantasy

Jealousy can only hope to dry beauty of its arrogance

Only beauty has always been one steps up in making things "not appear as they appear to be"

The lack of confidence breaks open like a blister

Words of lust creeps up like a rotting sinner

Raping the souls of the young and restless

Aging on those perfect lips to bathe in a tube of lies

Displaying a show of emptiness on a concrete wall

So when the poison set into jealousy heart

Only one thing will be set in stone

Jealousy is wasted space but Arrogance Is Beauty

Arrogance will break open a bottle of wine

And beauty will help lighten the mood

Jealousy will only lower it confidences down the wall

Lose courage and stumble back into a corner of cobwebs

This may be true for the physical beauty that everyone today is caught up in. And yeah, outer beauty is fun to look at and play with. It ain't real beauty though. In real beauty there is humility, a kind, respectful subservience to the ones who matter. Real beauty bears love instead of lust, slips everything from a crimson spectrum to one lightly rose-tinted.

Well written poem, got me thinking now about the nature of words and the true associations between them rather than their twisted company of diction that each one has thanks to the selfish society of today.
