Morning, Noon and NightA Poem by ANNA
I lay awake, frustrated
Morning after morning, lusting
Wrestling with my own weakness, internally
The thought of your hands easing down my spine, softly
Giving me a pleasure be on doubt, secretly
Seduce me with your eyes under the moon, forever
I hate to stumble backwards in my own poison, crying
Hate to grew addicted to those gorgeous lips, without permission
Say goodbye without you being there, to witness
I have to forcefully keep breathing when you’re near, soundly
Hold back my fingers from touching you, affectionately
I lay awake, aching
Clockwise after counter clockwise, fantasying
What it would be like if I laced my thighs around you, carefully
Pushed you up against the bedroom wall, passionately
Challenging our bodies to a night of sex therapy, repeatedly
The taste of strawberry & cream delight melts on my lips, kiss me
Let me know what you need, physically
I lay awake, dreaming
Night after night, aroused
Fighting with my mind to wait, patiently
I image the strength of your eyes on top of me, begging
However, I lost my way
Forgot you told me how you aren't aroused by me anymore
Tears bubble in disbelief down my check, screaming
You cut me, deeply!
Claiming you never meant for us to get this far, friendship...committed
For you I gave you my heart, blindfolded
Skipped breakfast in bed to make love, hardcore
Left you my prayers in a box you once kept safe, sadly
I lay awake, starving
Day after day, hurting
For you I turned against the world, fearfully
What I wouldn’t do to turn back time, forget
To fall in love with someone that cherishes, me
