Bleeding Canvas

Bleeding Canvas

A Poem by ANNA

So cold
Hands weighting on the edge
Ghosts speaking in tongues
Thundering clouds provoke
Thinking it’s never going to be enough
Death clapping in song
Awaiting a promise to be kept
Thoughts crumbling
Eating up memories
Emotions so numbing
Why fight your enemy
No one knows it’s depths
Death keeper seeks
Sun light lifts your eyes
Night keeps your lies
Brain washing your mind
Strumming you a grave
The further you fall, the harder you dig
Confusing your heaven
Conclusion suppressed by your own spear
Heart aching to fly toward salvation
Wife pleading and praying
Son grieving for more time
Binging on a creation
You become United
Take part and build a new foundation
Cement a new motivation
Captive but not contained
Brain patterns thunder
Paint dipping onto a canvas
Lingering down it’s walls
Let it roll
Let it tower over
Let it swiftly guide you
Favor your thoughts
Bring the Genius off it’s cliff
Sinking Jason
Drifting Jason
Words collide
But never unsettled
Stronger then a Hurricane
Wave your strength in sand
Remember all memories you conceal
Kiss the sky and bring Jason back to life
