The cascade poem was a form invented by Udit Bhatia. For the cascade poem, a poet takes each line from the first stanza of a poem and makes those the final lines of each stanza afterwards.
Happen/ Skin Diver
Somewhere over the rainbow,
Umbrellas take their stand.
Cruel humor that looks books
Confidently; his punctilio,
Etiquette. Centuries spanned
Diaphanous rainbow
Enlivens the drab horizon.
Repatriations ex banishment.
Enterprises stand.
Skin divers swim, with flippers
Underwater, someone’s Jacques makes
Bubbles instead of books…
Yes it can be any poem, there are no meter or syllable restrictions, the only rule established is the line repetition is that, it looks like/or the pattern is ABC xxA xxB xxC, of course in the mathematical age we can do what we like with it, extend it,
