Humble beginnings

Humble beginnings

A Poem by Maglia Weaver Twill

I wait with my child. Leaf starts with ‘l’ he says.
My son and I write another story;i n this one we
Bring in our props, ride the elevator again.
One day we set out together and went to the dollar store.
The elevator lifted us fast, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That was somewhere else.  Then we went to the library.
In each segment of each day there is some errand.
Rome was built in a day with us.  Happy children
Explaining how the world turns, again we are humble.
