Though it is short, this piece is very strong! Excellent word choice! I agree that "disposable" would be an terrific word change. Not only would it sync up with the rest, but disposable has a far more dramatic punch to it than "unimportant".

Unfortunately you describe about 95% of the country right now.

The question is, how much more will it take before people recognize their rights and freedoms are being disposed of, too?
