Cherries

Cherries

A Poem by Viney
"

A lovely poem sure to make your mouth water!

"

Plump, round, soft, juicy lumps,

Of which have a divine taste.

Filled with a red, sweet liquid,

Amazing folks with it's shiny, bright color,

Lapped up hungrily by all.

The color of the soft skin is brilliant and bright,

Betraying a tasty treat that is not matched by any other.

I bet you're hungry now, aren't you? Well, the title is a lie. These aren't cherries, no! It's obviously a human, can't you tell? How disgusting, getting so hungry thinking about eating your own.

Author's Note

Viney
My first poem. Was the surprise ending good? Or was it too obvious even before you finished? If you didn't know it was a horror poem, would you have guessed?
