Experience It

A poem wrote for my English class last year

Do you feel what I feel?
Do you see what I see?
This very world around us
How it seems to be
We live our lives day to day
But, do we truly ever experience it?

Do we feel the pain we should
As we walk down the road seeing starving children and dying lives?

Do we feel the hate that the little girl feels
As she hears her parents yell?
Or what the small boy feels
As he's pushed and teased?

In our perfect world
Where nothing ever goes wrong

Do we truly ever experience life?

Your words are true. USA spend 1.2 trillion on war and 60 billion on people and education. USA is nation based on war. The leaders don't see the kids with no homes. Big business taking jobs away. Hiring lower paid people. Today in Detroit(Like all large cities) 22 thousand kids have no address in the school system. That means the kids have no place to live and food to eat. Your words are true. We better change our way so every person will have a fair chance. A powerful poem. You made me think.
