A poem inspired by the band Otep

I feel this life slipping through my grasp as I steadily try to hang on to it.

No matter how hard I try,
I always seem to f**k up.

As you see my life
Through your own eyes,
You'll never truly understand.

Not now
Not tomorrow
Never

You'll never know
This pain,
This suffering,
This heartache

You can't understand why I cry,
Why I pray for numbness
Why I beg for that savior you speak of that I never am able to see

You'll never see the reason why this life is slowly slipping from my grasp
And why, even though I reach out for it, I will happily let it go.
