TAKENA Poem by Magnolia'unrequited'Stifled by restraints of morality Yet needing to lose them totally Nursed secretly, and cursed frequently are words of love, fighting to be free Locked away deep inside is a longing Prolonging the agony I have to purge this urge To litter these pages with a rhyme that rages Listen to the sages who over the ages have lectured me For You are taken and I am forsaken You take no heed and so I bleed Words of love lie dormant in a body of torment I have to re-wind Empty my mind But where will I find, peace ? Can anything be worse than unrequited verse ?
