A Soldier Goes to WarA Poem by Margaret Barton-WahlMy son is serving his country.
A soldier goes to War A soldier goes to war for: Love of his country and way of life, To protect parents, siblings, children and wife. He puts his life on the line for all of this and more… For kids at school, apple pie and the girl next door. The reasons for war are rarely ever clear. Yet he fights on and on without a fear. Governments around the world may dispute But a soldier's reasons to fight are beyond repute! He stands for all that is good and right in this life Fighting for his parents, siblings, children and wife!
