Silent Hill

Based off of 'Silent Hill.'

The falling ash

Silent Hill
The siren sounds
And blood does spill.
Take refuge with one evil
Who shall try to burn you, or
Keep outside with another
Who will hunt, and find, and kill.
Blood weeps the walls,
Again the wailing calls.
Monsters, screams,
Hellish beings
Roam about this town.
To where is that small child
Running around?

Author's Note

I'm not too big on video games, so this is based on the movie. :) If any of you have ever never watched 'Silent Hill,' do it. The suspense is excellent, as are the special effects. ^_^

If you don't like horror though... Don't.

Obviously, you can tell simply by taking a glace at my avatar (as well as 80% of my writing) that I am a horror aficionado. That being said, I have seen Silent Hill, as well as played many variations of the games from time to time. You have captured the evil essence of that place with your poetic prose, and laid out briefly for anyone that hasn't had the pleasure of watching the movie a nice, tidy synopsis in poetry format. If a horror fan doesn't want to watch the movie after reading this? They're not a fan of horror...

Silent Hill in a nutshell. Really made me think back on the games (and of course the movie). One of the greatest horror survival games out there. Honestly, there should be more poetry paying homage to this wonderfully morbid series.

there is much commotion in this poem, keeps my mind alert, yest it is so concise, such a good piece of writing, I imagine the psuedo -character who wrote this, to be a school teacher or a nursery nurse, great

The movie plot wasn't as great as it could have been. But can't argue against the special effects.

I can sense the anger of the poem itself. It's like the words are alive. Agony, death, blood. What more is there for me to ask? I love it (of course there are the ones who read this review thinking I'm not normal). I can see how it relates to the movie very well but duh it's based off of the movie like you said.

If you aren't a big fan on video games, download the indie online games such as Madfather, Ao Oni, or The Witch's House. Those you could get a lot of inspiration of. But the best is Madfather (The one I beat) and the Witch's house (scariest) in my opinion.

Rule #1 Dont play them with headphones. Trust me you will know why if you try.

I LOVE this series. I've actually played the games 1-3 and adored them, and I own both movies :). Just for the record the games are much better than the movies. I'm a die hard horror fan lol...so if anyone mentions Silent Hill or Resident Evil around me I freak out. You did a great job of describing the town with the ashes and Allisa running around. The sirens, whoo don't those give you chills? Not a town you would want to be in, that's for damn sure. One thing you missed though, the fog! But no worries, great work nonetheless. I was considering writing some fan fiction based upon silent hill xD
