DeathA Poem by MarkusJust something I thought up during a dark moment.
Death climbed the stairs to the bedroom where I slept. I felt the cold decay of life slipping. My shallow breathing slowing, becoming faint. The specter slid through the door and into the black room - hungering. The willpower to fight him was fleeting. Death was here. Shadows gathered over the bed, blotting out all light. Sightless eyes seeing black. Infinite darkness. The final beat signaled his time. I felt nothing - then freedom. © 2008 MarkusFeatured Review
