You came on a breeze
Soft, gentle like.
Words spoken, moving slowly into the night.
Oh how your smile took my breath away
The gentle tones sounding forth,
Like music to my ears.
And your eyes..
Hazel, such a beautiful color
The way they would change
Like the seasons that come upon us,
Each time different than the last.
Your laughter sounding forth
Funny how I can remember the sound
That deep rumble, making me smile in return
Yet try as I will
The sound of your voice has parted
From my memory.
No longer does it sound out.
Yet to close my eyes
I can still see you
Smell your scent.
But a memory it is now becoming.
And this I fear.
For I loved you, you know.
I loved you then
As I love you now.
And as time passes
I will love the memory
Of what was once
Us....
A beautiful poem. The description allowed the reader to feel the joy of true love. I like the feel of hope and good memories. Love with time does change. Good to remember when love was all we needed. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Such a beautiful penned poem, full of bittersweet memories. The imagery is superb throughout, as is each emotion that is conveyed so honestly. So much more than just words...
I hope you have found peace and comfort, my friend, xo

Time and writing heals wounds, but it is our memories that keep us alive, and our hope and desire to continue on for those around us. May each day bring you strength, Mags.
Maggie this poem is one of the best you have written. You have coveyed the feeling of loss here as I have seen no one do before when it comes to writing you, IMHO have no peer and I have read a lot of your poems/stories etc. I really think that you should consider getting published. You come across saying what you want say leaving no doubt in the mind of the reader if anyone dares call your writing on any subject ambiguious thay are sorely mistaken.
Mags I hope you will find peace soon. It is hard to lose someone who carries such great emotion that love doesn't even explain the emotion. I hope these dreams comfort you in your times of need. One day, my wish for you is, to feel this kind of emotion again and be able to wrap your arms around it physically til the end of days. This is a beautiful tale woven with sad thoughts and heartbreak of that moment when you can't recall the voice anymore as time starts drifting on. Hugs to you.
Hello to all;
Been awhile since I been on. Most know me, some don't. Hopefully I can get to know the few that don't and catch up with all the other fine fellow poets/friends that have become so.. more..
