Oh that so stains the sheets blood red.A Poem by MagdelenaDoors locking, like thoughts rushing through the minds of babes Whispers, soft, upon battered ears now deaf Can you hear them? Listen…. Close your eyes. (Ah yes, there they are) Slowly moving towards you Inside you (Hurry!!! Grab hold!) Quickly hands move Choking the life out of the memories Oh that so stains the sheets blood red. Hateful words coming forth (Don't let them in!) (Sssshhhhhh. She will hear) And you wait. Huddled in the deepest corner.. Footsteps slowly leaving, moving away A sigh of relief. Yet too soon. She is there, behind you.. (Oh God!) Sharpened claws ripping open, shredding, tearing, Your very existence, life passing before eyes of mist And for a moment, Just that single moment. You smile.
Gone now.. Lifeless eyes staring ahead. Oh that so stains the sheets blood red. © 2011 MagdelenaReviews
