The wind, soft as a feather, moves Eyes closed, I inhale The richness as it passes My cheeks feel its soft caress Like a lovers kiss, gently it touches And I smile.
Raindrops start to fall slowly Face upturned, I let the drops touch me The smell intoxicating to my senses It overtakes all of me, I indulge in its richness The feeling exquisite, divine, and I grasp it close Letting it overtake all of me deep within And I gently sigh.
Oh the feeling of freedom The purity of the breeze softly passing by The feel of the rain as it touches my body The wetness soaking me, lapping at my form Like the arms of a lover that touches oh so gently Eyes closed, Senses bare, I fall into its passion.
And gently float away...
Memories,
Of once upon a time
Passes my view
I inhale all its richness
For all still lies deeply within me.
Eyes closed, I feel the rain pour down on me
Oh the sweet joy.
The richness of splendor that comes forth
I bask in it
Holding my arms out
Towards all it offers.
For you are there my love.
Always..
Inside those sweet, sweet, raindrops.
Each one marking the memories from within
Bringing them forward yet once again
Yes...
For you are there my love...
Always..
Forever to hold deep inside Within my heart, I savor each precious moment Till it is time that I say goodbye.
Your touch of sweet to always linger. Your scent deep within Always still felt Funny how time fades certain memories.
Yet with you, they seem to linger forever Like the raindrops sweetly falling The mist of pure that slowly trickles down my skin And to this I say Let them fall..
Eyes closed, I feel the rain pour down on me
Oh the sweet joy.
The richness of splendor that comes forth
I bask in it
Holding my arms out
Towards all it offers.
all of our senses can be heightened when love fills our heart... a truly blissful poem, the stanza above is my favorite.
Very romantic with a touch of sadness. This is breathtaking, very grand. The rain seems like tears of sadness at the absence of someone much loved and tears of joy at the memory of them, the rain making that memory seem physical in a way. Outstanding poem, I sure love this.
Wonderful poem it evokes such feelings a sadness a meloncholy sort of acceptence of the way things are yet a nostalgic look back of how things were
sort of a vauge disgust not of how the persona lived but of how much better s/he could have lived and chose not to. The picture adds much to the mood of the poem. The music? Eh, not so much! As a matter of fact
I feel that it takes away, distracts from the poem. Overall this is up to snuff but lose the music!
I love your romanticism..Maggie you are real good with that..I have lied down and let the rain flow over me and its beautiful..And it's exquisite and did you know I was talking about this with a friend this morning..It's a surprise you sent this RR today..
Hello to all;
Been awhile since I been on. Most know me, some don't. Hopefully I can get to know the few that don't and catch up with all the other fine fellow poets/friends that have become so.. more..
