There on that small park benchA Poem by MagdelenaLove can be found yet to hold on to it, that is the challenge.He came to me on a warm summer's night
His soft voice sounding forth
Breaking into my thoughts of null
And I stopped and looked up and stared
Into the bluest of eyes, shinning bright
Smiling down at me, taking me deep inside
All they offered.
Like star beams, they glittered
Twinkling so bright
Breath held, I watched as he slowly sat
His body near mine on that small park bench
And I inhaled his sweet scent.
Musky and manly
I held the scent long
Afraid if I let it go he would disappear
Turning my head, I stared into his eyes
And slowly smiled.
Like fireworks on the fourth of July
Dozens of pictures flashed through my thoughts
We talked, softly at first
Then soon, like old friends, we blended together
Our words falling over each others and we laughed.
As I looked into this mans eyes
Heard his voice so soft
Inhaled his scent so sweet
It was then I knew..
I was in love...
Each and every night we met
There on that small park bench
Laughing and talking the night away
Our troubles small and insignificant
For we had 'our special moments'
As we named them..
And they were..
A summer of love passed between us
Words of sweet caress and passion
Like none I have ever known, moved through us
Without touch, kisses of desire
The joining of lovers sweet embrace.
No... We held more.. Much more..
The power of words, different, yet surreal
Of friendship so divine that tears came to our eyes
As we held hands and stared at the stars
The darkness of night surrounding
And we talked about all within
Unleashing our souls, hearts, and greatest fears.
Powerful were all
Like none I have ever felt
The sweetness of the softest kisses
Could never take their place
And I basked in its glory...
Soothing winds carried me along the dreamy nights
And I held my arms out, engulfing each and every one
With the sweetest of desire and joy
For in my heart this was my heaven, my dreams come true
And I knew then all had changed forever...
But all things must end
As did our love
For he could not stay
And I knew
Accepted
Then slowly died
As I said goodbye..
~~~
Each and every night we met
There on that small park bench
Laughing and talking the night away..
And as I sit alone
I stare up at the stars
And smile softly to the brightest one...
Knowing deep in my heart
It looks down upon me, with the greatest of love.
~~~
Each and every night I sit
There on that small park bench
