The days of once-upon-a-time....

The days of once-upon-a-time....

A Poem by Magdelena

I sit and think on all I've done
My life, my family, my dreams
Hopes of a young girl long ago
When she danced alone in the rain
While darkness fell over her form
As the stars smiled down gleaming
So much, too fast, too late
Is all I say now, as I sit and stare
In the mirror at the woman I am now
Once a 'Hippie' with love and freedom
My theme of peace and brand new ideals
Towards wife and mother, love in my life
Watching them grow, along with my heart
Then suddenly I see, all grown and so has me
Into this maturity, I once did not see
So here I sit, stare, think, and wonder
My life has been good, loving and kind
But oh how I so miss..
The days of once-upon-a-time....

Me too... miss those days of "once upon a time"~~ guess we just have to get outta bed each day and continue onward and make new memories each day to gather for our future "once upon a time" future memory chats with those who'll listen, perhaps relate and hopefully not gruff much as we ramble on and on.
Enjoyed this much!

I have to say you should read the reviews i got today for our humanity and a lesson learned lol

While i like this peice, im going to have to be honest.
it didn't quite keep my focus soley on it. It let my mind wander.
and the emotion scratched me. but it didn't scare me.

it's a fine peice of art.

but i'm seeking exceptional. the flow was rather slow to me, and the line "fueling him run instead of tire"

it just... rubbed me like a bad carpet and i got carpet burn. i'm sorry. but i am being honest in this contest with every peice of art.
I really do hate to be such a b***h...

but i simply don't like your form of poetry. Now i know mine sucks. It does. Im not saying my work is what i prefer to readbecause it's not. I want to read poems that would actually be in an english class. A real peace of literature such that Shaekspear himself might right.
Now this is only one persons opinion and whil it's better to say nothing if you don't have anything nice to say, I will justify the resoning for either rejecting or keeping your work in my contest.

This has a bad form about it. It again burns my skin with it's carpet.

I honestly do like the story your portraying here. i just would rather see it in a different light

This is the best you have written that i have seen .And for the first time i felt in reading a work of yours the pains of emotion that I can relate and It felt good to see through your feelings and my eyes

This I can relate to for the golden days of youth looked upon as our own "golden days" very nostalgic this anda longing for an innocence long past. This poem brings all that to the fore. just picture perfect.
