A scent so sweet;

Beauty is all around if we only stop and look..

A scent so sweet; like oceans breeze
Dew upon a petal; freshly opened for me to see
Crisp, clean air; that you can not help but inhale
Its sweet fresh fragrance; for all to adhere.

Colors abound, fresh flowers all around
Joy for the taking, for all those who wish.

I lie in its glory, bask in its scent
I close my eyes, and let my soul towards my final decent
Tumbling, tumbling; like on a spinning wheel
I feel my heart beating fast; till I no longer know what’s real.

I am here among its beauty
I feel the peace surrounding all
Colors so vibrant; such a sight for my tired eyes
I gently bend, then hear their softest call.

I reach out and touch...Oh the wonders I found
My fingers brushing softly, against all that I see
A secret place I have now gone
Where glory found one like me.

A place where dreams stay
A memory of pleasure so true
I bask in its glory
Its precious treasure now new.

I stare off into the horizon
And wonder on what I have missed
For right outside my fingertips layed joy and hope
Sitting, waiting, for a moment like this.

So what to do now, is the question I ask?
My thoughts run rampant; my mind knows my task.
For all I have missed, is now plain to see
This world so new, for one such as me.

So here I shall stay
My truth finally known
With all the wonders
I've finally been shown.

Colors so real, they pain the eye
Tears come forth
Along with a gentle sigh
Imagine, I think, all this worth.

And blind I was
To its magic now free
For feelings so alive
Has now taken ahold of me.

I loved these lines here, This is such a wonderful write here,
i can feel this one. Very well written and expressed!

[Patches I'm not so new..]

This poem reminds me of "I wandered lonely as a Cloud" by Wm Wordsworth have you read it?
I would say, being "biased" of course that this is on par with Mr. Wordsworth's poem It is that good of a write IMHO
