Dance with meA Poem by MagdelenaOh the love of dance, such heated passion...
Dance with me, he said
His eyes, like two sun kissed moonbeams Held me in their control His hand out, I put mine in his. Tingling sensations shot threw me I felt his touch like liquid fire Trembling, my legs started to move His body taking mine with ease. We floated, he and I Across the crowded room People surrounding us Yet it was only him I was in tune. His touch, magical Like sensations I've never felt His aroma intoxicating, drugging my senses Of desire ripping through my very form. He held on tightly as the song started to change Soon the sounds of the Salsa came, and his body started to sway The beat intensified, as did my heart. Soon our feet went to the rhythm Like we danced so many times this way I felt like I had always known him As our bodies began to sway. Our feet moving faster, to this Latin beat Our bodies sweating with passion His fingers caressing my open back Like tiny ripples of desire, my mind could not ration. We moved in circles all around The others stopped and stared At the dancing couple I heard call out The ones who danced with dare. We looked like [Fred] and [Ginger] Like two dancing stars The Mambo next.. Then the Rumba And soon I heard the roars. As others started to clap and send forth their cheers Like a daydream I was living My feet flying off the floor Magical it seemed.. And ooh.. So much more. Then slowly all diminished, and lights stated to blink Telling us the night was over, and all did start to leave This Cinderella's ball was done And the clock had done stroked twelve. I sighed so very heavily as I headed for my coat Then a hand so tenderly came and softly touched my skin I looked up in surprise, and saw my Latin man again He stared so very quietly, that all around grew dim. Then softly he held out his hand And once again I felt mine in his. His eyes, like two sun kissed moonbeams Held me in their control Then softly he whispered those special words And I knew then I had given him my soul. Dance with me, he said Just that, nothing more My coat held out, then together we turned And walked out the door. © 2011 MagdelenaAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
